Who writes our content
Guides, templates and tools on florm.io are written by Ethan Brooks, a software engineer at Florm who works on the product. Every page shows its author and the dates it was first published and last updated.
How guides and templates are written
- We write for people who build real forms and surveys, in plain language, with examples you can copy.
- Definitions and methods follow widely used survey-research references. Where a page relies on a specific source or standard, we link to it.
- We don’t publish made-up statistics, testimonials or customer stories. Examples are labeled as examples.
- When we describe Florm features, we only describe what the product does today.
How calculators are checked
Our calculators run entirely in your browser and use standard, published formulas, which each tool page states:
- NPS calculator: % promoters − % detractors, with the margin of error from the variance of a difference of proportions.
- Sample size calculator: Cochran’s formula with finite population correction.
- Margin of error calculator: z × √(p(1−p)/n) at 90/95/99% confidence, with optional finite population correction.
Before publishing and after changes, we compare results against the formulas computed by hand for known inputs, including the worked examples shown on each page. The results are statistical estimates for planning; they do not replace professional statistical advice.
Updates
We review pages when the product changes or when someone reports a problem. The “Updated” date on a page changes only when its content changes meaningfully.

Independence
Florm is our product, and our guides mention it where it’s relevant. We don’t accept payment for coverage or links.
